Real charging speed
The supply, charger setting and vehicle’s onboard AC charger all limit charging power. The charger’s maximum rating is only one part of the calculation.

Home charging sized to your supply and vehicle.
Gen 3 Wall Connector
Tesla Wall Connector supports scheduled home charging and power-management configurations. The charging rate is limited by the electrical supply, circuit setting and the vehicle’s onboard charger. Tesla lists charging examples of 7.4 kW on single-phase and 11 kW on three-phase for its vehicles; the hardware rating alone does not predict every car’s charging speed.

A clock schedule follows a time window. Surplus-solar charging responds to measured available generation and needs compatible metering and controls.
The switchboard, cable route and other large loads determine the installation. Load management can adjust charging within a designed supply limit.

Warranty and support
Tesla lists a 48-month warranty for normal residential use and 12 months for commercial use, subject to the applicable terms.
Check which components are covered, the warranty term and any registration, usage or servicing conditions.
Your quote should identify the installation work, commissioning, handover and support contacts.
Keep model and serial numbers, the invoice and the applicable Australian warranty. Manufacturer warranties sit alongside Australian Consumer Law rights.
Planning the system
Daily kilometres, time at home and electricity tariffs are more useful than a universal charging-cost or kilometres-per-hour claim.
Use your vehicle’s real consumption and driving pattern to estimate the energy needed between trips.
Compare daytime parking with solar production and overnight parking with your tariff.
Allow for the cable route, mounting position, protection, metering and any switchboard work.
