Trina Vertex S+ 415w Dual Glass: 'Solar Panel Of The Summer'
Trina are obviously keen to maintain their spot in the market as an industry leader by producing what has been dubbed by experts as the ‘solar panel of the summer’. It’s true, Trina has produced a seriously good solar panel that’s getting everyone excited.
The Trina Vertex S+ 415w solar panel is something we are all wanting to discuss. The whopping 25 year product warranty paired with the 30 year performance warranty. Let’s not forget when it comes to the 21.9% conversion efficiency from this panel!
It’s safe to say that Trina has put some serious thought and budget into manufacturing the Vertex S+ modules and moving with the flow of the solar market as well.
This is really good to see and builds confidence in Trina as a trustworthy brand that homeowners can invest in without running the risk of low quality products or them going bankrupt and losing out on the warranty.
Overall, I’m excited to be going through this solar with you all and taking a deeper look into why we believe this to be one of the best solar panels you can currently invest in right now.
Before we go any further, don’t forget you can speak to one of my solar experts and request a proposal for this panel by heading to our Trina page.
We’ve also got some amazing summer packages of 6.6kw and 8.3kw Trina Vertex S+ panels which you can browse through by clicking the link.
Right, let’s get straight into this. Here’s everything you need to know about the Trina Vertex S+ ‘solar panel of the summer’.

Trina Are Offering A Smaller Size Panel With A Larger Power Production
One thing that immediately stands out to most of us is the size of the Trina Vertex S+ modules. Coming in at 400-425w but the most popular seems to be the 415w size. It’s fantastic to see that Trina are producing larger power panels and keeping up with the way the market is moving.
As you can probably see, the industry is moving towards panels that can produce more W allowing homeowners to install less on their roofs but also maximise the space that is available.
Think about it, you will need 20 x 415w Vertex S+ panels to get a 8.3kW system but if you choose 375w panels you would need around 22 solar panels. This power increase allows for many homeowners to take advantage of roof space and design issues. It also helps me as a solar design engineer to tailor the best design around your home and roof.
Not only this, but it also shows me that Trina are looking at market trends and going with new and innovative ways to manufacture better solar panels for the industry. This is something that builds my confidence when installing and investing in Trina solar panels.
This is a similar story with Jinko who are focusing on their 440w Tiger pro modules. Seems to be the way the industry is moving. Let’s not forget Sunpower Maxeon 5 & 6 which are also above the 400w mark.
What I Like About It...
So, what I love about this solar panel has to be the combination of performance, affordability and warranties. It’s kinda one of those panels that seems to smash every aspect…
For the price that you pay for this panel you will not be able to get 25 year product warranty AND 30 year performance warranty along with a whopping 21.9% efficiency and annual degradation of 0.4%.
Some other amazing features are those of multi busbar technology to increase the performance of the panel and the dual glass design which increases its strength and resistance which is especially a big thing for Australia and our freak weather conditions.

The Trina Vertex S+ 415w Comes With 21.9% Panel Efficiency
To be honest, this is something that really did impress me. 21.9% conversion efficiency is definitely up there with some of the most efficient solar panels in 2022. Still, Sunpower is up there with a big winner but I must admit, Trina isn’t far off.
Trina Vertex S+ is beating the likes of Jinko, Longi and Hyundai with this efficiency rating. Now, I do also propose the argument of how important the panel efficiency really is but I’m impressed by this rating.
Overall, you will be getting more energy from your system and when compared to other panels you may need to pay for more to get the same energy output. The more efficient a solar panel is, the more energy you can produce.
Well, it’s safe to say congratulations to Trina on this high level of panel efficiency which is moving them up there to compete with the big boys like Sunpower.
Dual Glass Design With Trina Vertex S+ 415w Panel Gives Extra Strength
We can all admit that Australia has seen some pretty freak weather over the past few years. Now, if you live in an area that does see high winds, hail and other intense weather that may cause panel damage then Trina Vertex S+ is going to be your panel.
Not only this, but dual glass is less prone to micro cracks from the sun and natural wear and tear overtime. This maintains the high level of performance from Trina as is of course backed by their warranty.
Being a country that is extremely coastal you may find that salt wears down solar panels quickly. Trina Vertex S+ dual glass design allows a much bigger protection against salt and sand etc. This is key if you live in an area that is close to the beach.
For me personally, I do actually like the dual glass design because it fits in well with our weather climate in Australia. It certainly makes this solar panel worthwhile to consider as it seems to be a very study panel for all conditions.
Australia is the first country that Trina has targeted for this panel so it will see how successful it is through Aussies and then move across to other countries like the states.
You Get 25 Years Product Warranty & 30 Years Performance Warranty With The Trina Vertex S+ 415w Solar Panel
I think this is what impressed me the most about the Trina Vertex S+ 415w dual glass panel. It has to be its whopping warranty combined with its affordability on the market in Australia right now.
Let’s be truthful here, it’s not often you can get a panel with this warranty and specs for the price that it’s being offered as well. Sure, you can get Sunpower which is better on specs and performance however it comes with a larger price tag.
Looking at Jinko, their 440w and 415w panels are quite similar but they offer a lower warranty of 20 years. Of course, 25 years performance as well which Trina offers 30.
I really don’t think you will be able to find another solar panel for the same price offering the same specs as well. It’s rare that a panel like this comes around and I’m interested to see how long it lasts in the market without a change.
Let’s also not forget that Trina has outstanding bankability. In 2021 they scored 100% on their rating for warranty and bankability which is amazing to see.
This Is Truly The ‘Solar Panel Of The Summer’
With that being said, I can easily express that for me; the Trina Vertex S+ 415w IS the solar panel of the summer. It’s one that is going to increase in popularity by a serious amount and potentially become the new industry favourite.
It’s a combination of things really. Mostly the performance and warranty but also the price and availability. I don’t want to forget the power and size of this panel as well which makes it so much easier for homeowners to install and generate enough energy for savings.
I mean have a look, after the solar panel rebate you could be looking at getting this panel for no more than $4000 for a 6.6kW system + inverter and installation. That is extremely affordable for the lifestyle this system can give you.
You can expect to see a lot more of this panel coming into the summer as its demand increases across the industry. After all, it is extremely impressive in all aspects of solar panels. Perhaps this is from the innovative packaging design which is decreasing Trina’s shipping costs.
Expect To See Fast Returns From The Trina Vertex S+ 415w Solar Panel
Another thing to bring to your attention is the fast payback period and returns you will be able to see from the Trina Vertex S+ 415w dual glass solar panel. Due to its high performance and affordability you can quickly see your money back from your investment.
Especially with this current energy price rise which seems to be lasting until 2024. Installing these panels now might allow you to pay off the system within 2-3 years (*depending on your energy consumption, size of system and other factors).
One thing that is a fact though is that this solar panel will be able to produce large returns and fast. The beauty of it is that your panels are backed to generate returns for 25 years and if they break then you can get them replaced.
So, if you’re looking to get a solar panel that’s going to quickly slash your energy bills and provide you with savings “over night” then I would strongly recommend considering the Trina Vertex S+ 415w solar panel.
How Does The Vertex S+ Compare To Other Panels In The Industry?
Well, I’d say this panel is up there among some of the best. Let’s look at a few. Take Hyundai, they are offering their UF and VG modules with 18 year product warranty and a lower performance and efficiency.
Similar to Jinko, the 440w panel is larger than Trina’s Vertex S+ however it comes with a lower warranty and lower performance & efficiency. So far, we’ve only picked out 2 panels. Now, I’m not saying Hyundai and Jinko are bad, I’m just comparing a few.
Of course, you have Sunpower as well which is actually better in warranty and performance compared to Trina but will require you to make a larger investment into this panel as it costs more.
Look, I think the bottom line is that this panel is seriously shaking the industry up and is going to move very quickly into the #1 place over the summer. Other panels may need to take note and consider combatting Trina with their own panel like the Vertex S+ 415w.

The efficiency of a panel will NOT change total production. A 400 watt low efficiency panel produces the same as a 400 watt high efficiency panel. What DOES change is the amount of space a panel takes up on your roof. A high efficiency panel will take up LESS space. So if roof space, especially at desired angles, is at a premium, then a high efficiency panel is worth considering. Go for quality regardless.
